i feel self-conscious about these lists going out to the anarchoblog and feminist blog aggregators for some reason. Like I should only be posting Important Stuff now. But, oh well. Here it is anyway:
Stuff I've added for this week
Stuff I do every week
Stuff left over from previous weeks

if you feel self-conscious why do it? i don't get the blog trend. not enough daily life stimulation? either way i do enjoy your blog but makes me wonder. at least you don't live in iraq, in indonesia, in sudan.
Keep the list.
Black eyed peas? Must be new years day.
Denise - Perhaps you don't get the whole blog trend because you assume anyone who would want to ramble on periodically about their life is lacking in stimulation. Actually, I've been rambling on about my life in one medium or another since I was a teenager, so I appreciate a tool that allows me to distribute my ramblings without a great deal of expense. I can't imagine what you would have thought of my level of stimulation (or lack thereof) when I used to spend hours and hours and hours putting together zines, making copies, mailing them out, and writing random letters to strangers to form a community to share ideas, thoughts, and ideals.
It's really nothing more than documentation of a life. And I would assume the person reading and not participating would be more guilty of a lack of stimulation moreso than the person doing the writing.
As far as the fact that I don't live in one of the countries you mention. No. I do not. But that's not the point. In fact, it's so far removed from the point that, again, it's no wonder you don't "get" the blog thing. By documenting my life, I'm not claiming that my life is any more important than anyone else's. Nor is it any more difficult or tragic or joyful. My life just is. Here I am. Take it or leave it.
Mquest - It is, indeed, New Year's Day. I'm going to cook up the collard greens after I drop the kids off at their papa's house. Yum!
For us it is a meatless Ruben (Rye Bread, cheese, sourkraut (sp?) grilled like a cheese sandwich) Mashed potatoes and The Black Eyed Peas.
Hi Dru, I don't know what my problem was when I left that comment. But I was wrong. Your blog is one of my favorites and I read it regularly. I'm sorry for what I wrote. Happy fall equinox.
