I'm not too enamored of them either. Their customer service is so bad that I never call them--clever on their part. Except, for the time they deleted my account. And when it took them over a week to figure out that the phone line provider hadn't switched whatever switch needed switching to activate my DSL--and that it was NOT my damn modem. Arrgh.

I also loathe earthlink. I only have the true voice program but I am always disconnected and have gone days without home phone service.The best part of earthlink was how they mislead us into service. We were never informed of a 20+ dollar shipping and handling fee. We never ordered Norton Antivirus, yet we were being charged for it. I never received my first month for free. I was told that my payment would be drawn out of my checking account on a specific day. To my dismay, they drew it out over a week early and charged me more than twice the quoted amount causing my account to be overdrawn. The price I was quoted was already in there but they took it upon themselves just to take whatever they felt they deserved. When I spoke to the customer service representative, all I got was an apology. Well, does an apology pay my $30 overdraft fee or the $7.00 a day I was charged daily for a delinquent account? Now, I should be receiving the next two months for free. Fabulous, except my phone only works every other day and I never have service after 5 pm. I imagine this way they can limit all my free long distance charges by just shutting me off after 5 when all my friends and family are returning home from work. Piss on earthlink.
