I have this inexplicable urge to acquire all of the Nick Cave releases on CD (I have all of them, but half of them are on vinyl) and listen to them in chronological order over the course of a day or a weekend.
Sounds like a project! I'm going to get on the acquisition bit. Anyone wanna join me for the listening bit? Maybe I should get all of the videos, too.

Been there, done that. I am actually on a marathon session right now with Live Seeds as the album I'm currently listening to. This is not the first time I've gone on a Nick Cave marathon session but I have only done a Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds marathon thus far. Which is long enough, especially with the B-Sides & Rarities triple disc set thrown in.
One fine day, I might do a full Nick Cave marathon with The Birthday Party and his work on film scores added to it. If I really wanted to go crazy, I would add all the bootlegs I have and there are quite a few. That marathon session would certainly require an entire weekend at the very least.
Do they have the early Birthday Party releases on CD? (Or how about that band that came earlier - Boys Next Door?) I have one Birthday Party album, Junkyard, on vinyl. A friend/housemate had the single "Release the Bats" way back when. I think this was all between 20 and 25 years ago. Actually, I find it hard to believe he hasn't retired by now.
