“Get new non-leather ass-kicking boots. Any suggestions?” No. but let me know if you find any good ones. My local payless shoe store used to sell a great steal toed work boot that was all man made. I bought two pairs and wore them until they died.

They have a new style but I was never able to break them in so I had to toss them.

During the last Doc Martian craze about 10 years ago they had a ton of cheep rubber knock offs at the stores that looked like they might hold all the sweat in the shoe and never breath.. I always kept my eye open but never found a pair that looked durable and wearable. My last pair of Docs died 19 years ago and I have still not found a good cheep replacement.

A friend is looking into hiking boots for me. The problem with non-leather products is the manufactures make them as cheep non durable knockoffs. I need quality.

While I am on the subject of crappy products I need a good pair of non-leather berkenstocks.-- I found a great well made pair at Target a few years back. I think that they would of lasted a long time. But, one day the metal buckle gave way during a rather long walk. That was one screwed up walk home on the hot pavement.

The only shoes that I can rely on is converse canvas high tops.

Oh well good luck.

I have similar lists. The main one is on my "blackboard" above my favorite chair. It never seems to empty. I was marking them off so I could see what I accomplished. Finally, it got so full, I had to clean it off and re-write what still needed to be done.
